Latest river updates

Welcome to RiverNut!

Do you love paddling? You came to the right place!

RiverNut is an online paddling community with live river flows, river information and trip reports.

On RiverNut you can quickly see which rivers are "in" by using our interactive river map, which is updated with the latest river conditions. Click on the map below to check it out

If you register, you get you own online trip log where you can keep track of the rivers you have done and share information with other paddlers.

You can also add rivers and contribute more information to existing rivers on the site.

RiverNut was started in 2007 by Idaho kayakers. Currently the site covers rivers in the North West of the US. But we will add more areas soon.

RiverNut development

13 Jun 04:22

I fixed a bug that caused the flow for the NF Payette gauge to be one week behind! The flow recently went from around 2,500 to 3,500, which makes quite a bit difference on the North Fork! Also it means that the Cabarton Run is in, a great class III float.

I am currently working on what feature(s) to add next to RiverNut. I have starting looking into photo uploads. Another cool thing is an iPhone interface, allowing you to check flows and riverinfo on the road. Practical things like a search function and IE compatibility (I use firefox). These are just some of the ideas. Feel free to contribute your thoughts or new ideas in the comments to this post (you need to be registered and logged in).

By the way, if paddling nuts out there who also happen to be web designers, I would welcome any help with my style sheets and such. There are a few issues with the layout that I would like to sort out. Send me an email at frederik@willerup.com

Description

Swirly Canyon is a fun beginner's run, but not without interest for the experienced boater. The name comes from some very funky water in a narrow canyon section in the middle of the run.
